Where is the Conference Center located?
Does being located on federal property come with special access procedures?
Guests who do not have an approved Department of War or Naval Academy credentials may need to complete a visitor access form prior to their event.
The Conference Center team makes the process easy and seamless. We will guide you through the requirements, provide the necessary forms and instructions, and work closely with you to ensure all submissions are completed on time.
Visitor access forms must be submitted at least 14 business days before your event. Additional information may be required for international guests.
I am not a U.S. Naval Institute Member. Can I still rent the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center?
It is not a requirement to be a member of the U.S. Naval Institute to rent spaces at the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center. Military and government individuals and organizations, corporations, nonprofits, as well as the general public can rent the Conference Center.
What types of events can be held at the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center?
Examples of professional events include all-day or multiple-day conferences, lectures, workshops, wargaming training exercises, executive meetings, corporate cocktail receptions, and fundraising galas. Personal social events may include, military or corporate anniversary celebrations, promotion and retirement ceremonies and receptions, class reunions, and memorials. Please note that at this time, we do not host weddings, baby showers, or other social events outside of career events.
How many guests can the Conference Center accommodate?

Can I host a classified meeting?
Yes! The Jack C. Taylor Conference Center is certified as a Temporary Secure Working Area (TSWA) in the Lockheed Martin Auditorium and Meeting Rooms #2-5. In 2022, SSO Navy approved these spaces to hold classified discussions up to the TS/SCI level, on a per-waiver basis.
How early can I arrive at the Conference Center to set up?
Clients can arrive at the Conference Center 2 hours prior to your event start time for set up. Clients are not permitted to arrive at the Conference Center without prior written communication of your arrival time to our staff in advance of your event date. Guests are permitted to arrive to they event they are attending no earlier than 20 minutes before the official event start time.
